Why yes, it has been forever. I suck at LJ.

But I went and saw X-Men on Monday and due to the beautiful James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender, fell in love with the Charles/Erik pairing--it lit a fire under my ass (I'm seeing it again tonight). So after being fan of superheroes for about 15 yrs, I've finally written a fic for one. I'm scared but here goes. It's fluff that's a tad bit porny and a lot plotless, small steps and all.

Hi everyone!

I am not dead! Sorry that I haven't been on in forever but the end of the school year kind of took over my life--lots of papers and exams that allowed me to have no free time. And since then it's been all about finding a new school to transfer to, finding a job and reconnecting with friends.

But now I'm back! All of the excitement has died down and I'm ready to get back into fandom. I've even written fic! It should be posted very soon; I just have to wait for it to be beta'd. It feels awesome to get back into the writing habit.

I'm really looking forward to commenting on everyone's stuff and I hope that you all are doing okay as well! :) ♥

Well kind of. Val Kilmer is coming to my hometown as the grand marshall for our festival that takes place during the last weekend of April/first weekend of May. And I have to say that I'm really excited. I've always had sort of a secret crush on him (well when I'm watching Batman Forever). No doubt, he doesn't look the same way that he did back in the day but he's still a favorite and I'm going to try to meet him. I have a pretty good record with meeting the quote, unquote celebs. Last year, I got a hug from Erik Estrada.

Oh I finally watched the series final of Ugly Betty! I cried but ultimately I was happy with it. I was glad to see everyone get their happy ending and I was so satisfied with both Betty and Daniel going to London and starting anew. I would have rather had more seasons but I'm not going to rant about it because I got my OTP.

I really, really miss writing but I'm fresh out of ideas so I'm asking for prompts. Of the Kirk/McCoy and Karl/Chris persuasion of course.

Anything would be great and I'll try to do as many as I can. I miss fandom like crazy and I need something to do.
